The invention discloses a method for compacting and treating micro-radioactive waste. The method includes A, fixedly mounting a waste barrel on a barrel access slider outside a compaction cavity when a barrel access lifting door is opened; B, pulling the barrel access slider so that the waste barrel enters the compaction cavity to be in position; C, closing the barrel access lifting door, shifting a transition barrel mounted in the compaction cavity and enabling a lower opening of the transition barrel to match with an upper opening of the waste barrel; D, opening a feeding door and feeding materials into the waste barrel at one step; E, closing the feeding door, enabling a pressure head of a compactor to move downward, compact and maintain pressure; F, repeating the step D and the step E until waste in the waste barrel is sufficient when the pressure head ascends and returns, and stopping feeding; and G, lifting the transition barrel, opening the barrel access lifting door and pushing the barrel access slider to lead out the waste barrel. The method is simple in operation, operation steps are reduced, operation efficiency can be greatly improved, failure rate is reduced, the service life of equipment is prolonged, and radiation pollution to operators is reduced.
