The invention relates to
hybrid excitation synchronous starting
system and method of a
synchronous motor. The
hybrid excitation synchronous starting
system comprises a main motor, an
exciter, a rotating rectifying disc, a first excitation
system and a second excitation system, wherein a main motor rotor, an
exciter rotor and the rotating rectifying disc are synchronous; the
exciter rotor suppliesexcitation currents to the main motor rotor through the rotating rectifying disc; the first excitation system supplies the excitation currents to an exciter
stator; a synchronous
slip ring is arranged between the rotating rectifying disc and the main motor rotor and provided with a carbon
brush, and the second excitation system supplies the excitation currents to the main motor rotor through the carbon
brush and the
slip ring. When the
hybrid excitation synchronous starting system disclosed by the invention is started, firstly a
magnetic field of the main motor rotor is established depending on the second excitation system so that the main motor can be started, then the first excitation system is started and gradually switched with the second excitation system; and in addition, according to the hybrid excitation synchronous starting system disclosed by the invention, the
magnetic field is established for the main motor rotor through the second excitation system, and therefore the problem that a synchronous brushless motor can not directly conduct the excitation currents through twice
electrical isolation until the
magnetic field of the main motor rotor is solved.
