The invention relates to a
formaldehyde-free fur
leather tanning method, and belongs to a fur tanning technique. The method comprises the following steps: immersing in water, washing with water, removing meat,
softening and immersing in acid before tanning; and washing or dry-cleaning,
drying, dampening, spreading, ironing hairs, shearing hairs and finishing after tanning. The method is characterized in that the tanning agent used in the tanning process is composed of the following components in percentage by weight: 12-18% of
oxazolidine compound, 3-9% of penetrant, 2-5% of
moisturizer, 5-9% of softener and the balance of water, wherein the sum of the weight percents of the components is 100%; the
oxazolidine compound is 3-hydroxyethyl-3-
oxazolidine; the penetrant is
fatty alcohol polyethylene ether; the
moisturizer is glucose; and the softer is
castor oil polyethylene ether. After the implementation of the method, a tanning effect identical to the tanning effect by using
formaldehyde is obtained by adopting the oxazolidine compound to replace toxic and harmful
formaldehyde used in the prior art; furthermore, the rotting phenomenon of the fur leather is effectively controlled; and more importantly, the components in the formula are not reported to be toxic or harmful.
