The invention relates to the field of rumen regulation, in particular to a natural product preparation capable of reducing methane production amount of rumen microorganisms. The natural production preparation is dried powder prepared by smashing fruits of fructus viticis, extracting the smashed fruits through ethanol solution with weight percentage of 60%-80% and performing nitrogen blowing, freezing and drying on the extracted product. The natural product preparation can obviously reduce the methane production amount of the rumen microorganisms. The invention further provides a preparation process of the natural product preparation and an application of the natural product preparation for reducing the methane production amount of the rumen microorganisms. Effective components like volatile oil of the fructus viticis can be extracted through ethanol, and the natural product preparation which is dried powder can be prepared through nitrogen blowing, freezing and drying. According to in-vitro fermentation test of rumens, 0.4g / L of the preparation, namely adding 40mg of the natural product preparation in each gram of dry matter, the methane production amount of the rumen microorganisms can be effectively reduced to 21.7%.

The invention relates to a method for preparing an animal feed by the fermentation of rumen microorganisms and belongs to the field of feed preparation.
