Ascending bid auction for multiple auctions

An automated system for conducting an auction and a method for operating the system. The system comprises a plurality of bid entry terminal and a bidding information processor communicatively coupled to the bid entry terminals. Bidders at the bid entry terminals observe displayed information and enter bids accordingly. The bidding information processor and the bid entry terminals communicate and process information in order to conduct an auction. The method involves conducting an auction in which the price paid by bidders is independent of their own bids, in which participants are provided with information concerning their competitors' bids as the auction progresses, and in which the confidentiality of high values is maintained. This provides the advantage of improving the economic efficiency of the auction design over the existing art.

LED light converting resin composition and LED member using the same

Disclosed are an LED light converting resin composition, and an LED member using the same. The LED light converting resin composition comprises 20˜99 wt % of transparent resin, 0.8˜60 wt % of a lighting color converting fluorescent substance, and 0.2˜20 wt % of a light diffusing bead with an average particle diameter of 0.2˜30 μm. It is possible to emit a white or yellowish white light, like a conventional white light LED, only by independently using a white light emitting LED lens with no change in a blue, violet, or UV LED. There is no need to use a white LED which is relatively expensive and has a short life. Instead, as required, it is possible to easily replace a conventional LED lens with the disclosed LED lens by a user or an operator, thereby obtaining a mild white light with a required luminance. Thus, glaring, caused by a high-luminance white LED lighting, can be effectively reduced, thereby providing a milder lighting with improved comfort. Furthermore, the concern about the deterioration of a lighting device can be reduced due to a high heat-resistance, which increases economical efficiency.

The present invention discloses a transmission device of a low-noise optical signal having a low-noise multi-wavelength light source, a transmission device of broadcast signals using a low-noise multi-wavelength light source, and an optical access network having the same. The present invention uses a low-noise multi-wavelength light source (LMLS) which has sufficiently low noises at respective wavelengths, while being lasing at a multi-wavelength. Noises at respective wavelengths are not increased, even though an output light of such an LMLS passes through a wavelength division multiplexer / demultiplexer (a tunable optical filter or an arrayed waveguide grating (AWG), etc.). When using an LMLS, it is possible to embody an optical access network capable of transmitting optical signals at a high-speed and simultaneously transmitting a multicast signal. Further, when embodying an optical amplifier by using a gain medium for an LMLS, it is possible to obtain gain at a broad band without cross-coupling.
