This invention belongs to the field of
marine engineering technology, and particularly relates to a device for protecting offshore wind
turbine pile foundations from scour in reciprocating currents. The device includes a
breakwater base; a
breakwater core, set on the
breakwater base, with a trapezoidal cross-section; a seaward slope, laid on the seaward side of the breakwater core, comprising a
sedimentation zone, a
sediment collection platform, and an
erosion prevention zone from top to bottom; a leeward slope, laid on the seaward side of the breakwater core, with a slope of 1:1.5 to 1:3; and a breakwater crest, located at the top of the breakwater core, with a triangular cross-section, the width gradually increasing from the top downwards, and its bottom abutting against the top of the
sedimentation zone, the top of the breakwater core, and the top of the leeward slope, respectively. The
sedimentation zone is located at the top of the seaward slope with a slope of 1:1.5 to 1:3; the
erosion prevention zone is located at the bottom of the seaward slope, abutting against the breakwater base, with a slope of 1:1 to 1:1.5; and the
sediment collection platform is located between the sedimentation zone and the
erosion prevention zone, with a width 1.5 to 3 times the width of the breakwater core, connecting the sedimentation zone and the erosion prevention zone.
