Method of data collection among participating content providers in a distributed network

A content delivery network (CDN) service provider extends a content delivery network to gather information on atomically identifiable web clients (called “user agents”) as such computer-implemented entities interact with the CDN across different domains being managed by the CDN service provider. In one embodiment, a set of machines, processes, programs, and data comprise a data system. The data system tracks user agents, preferably via cookies, although one or more passive techniques may be used. A user agent may be a cookie-able device having a cookie store. As the user agent navigates across sites, a CDN-specific unique identifier used by the system to correlate user agents is generated. Preferably, the unique identifier is stored as an encrypted cookie. The unique identifier represents one user agent (and, thus, one cookie-able device's store). The system tracks user agent behavior on and across customer sites that are served by the CDN, and these behaviors are classified into identifiable “segments” that may be used to create a profile. CDN customers use the data system to obtain information that characterizes the user agent.

Dietary regimen of nutritional supplements for relief of symptoms of arthritis

This invention is directed to a dietary regimen and a unique combination of nutritional supplements and a method. More specifically, this invention is directed to a unique combination of nutritional supplements which provides symptomatic relief from arthritis. The unique combination of nutritional supplements of this invention is believed to function by both increasing the available (effective blood level) of anti-inflammatory agents and promotion of the healing / regenerative process in the effected joints, thus, producing unexpected and lasting symptomatic relief from the debilitating effects of both osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. The essential nutritional supplements of the dietary regimen of this invention are as follows: (a) gamma linolenic acid (unrefined), hereinafter "GLA"(b) a mixture of eicosapentaenoic acid and docosahexaneoic acid, hereinafter collectively "EPA"(c) a mixture of chondroitin sulfate, N-acetyl glucosamine sulfate, glucosamine sulfate and manganese aspartate, hereinafter collectively "CHONDROX"The regimen is adjusted based upon the weight of the individual, and once symptomatic relief is achieved, the individual remains essentially free from the debilitating effects of arthritis so as long the daily regimen is faithfully followed.

Systems and methods for CPU throttling utilizing processes

Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate central processing unit (CPU) throttling utilizing processes to facilitate enhanced management of CPU resources and to mitigate system crashes. A process (or group thereof) that occupies CPU resources at a percentage greater than a selectable predetermined threshold percentage can be monitored, suspended for a variable time period, and resumed. The process can be monitored to determine whether suspension of the process successfully reduced the percentage of CPU resources occupied by the process. Feedback information can be generated to facilitate a determination regarding a most suitable increase or decrease to suspension time of the process in order to minimize the number of reiterations required to successfully throttle the process. The invention also provides for an Ignore functionality, via which a process (or group thereof) can be exempted from throttling based on an exemption of the process, group of processes, and / or user.

Systems and methods for analyzing sensor data to detect property intrusion events

ActiveUS10388135B1Efficient and effective communicationFacilitate and commandCustomer relationshipFinanceMobile deviceSmart device
The present embodiments relate to identifying property intrusion events based upon sensor data received from smart devices populated about a home. A smart home controller may compare the sensor data to baseline sensor data to dynamically identify an intrusion event that may be occurring. The controller may generate a notification and determine an action to perform to facilitate damage or risk mitigation. Accordingly, an individual associated with the home may be notified of the event, and then select to perform the action, such as via their mobile device. In some implementations, the controller may automatically perform the action. As a result, in response to computer identification of an intrusion event, corrective action may be taken or prompted, or otherwise any damage caused by the intrusion event may be mitigated, reducing insurance claims or claim amounts associated with intrusion events. Insurance discounts may be provided based upon the risk mitigation functionality.

Methods and Systems for Interference Mitigation

Embodiments herein provide methods and systems for enhancing interference mitigation using conjugate symbol repetition and phase randomization on a set of subcarriers. The repeated data tone in the signal is complex-conjugated before transmission, when the repetition factor is two. When the repetition factor is greater than two, a combination of conjugate repetition and random / deterministic phase variation of the repeated tones is used to mitigate the interference mitigation. Embodiments further disclose Collision Free Interlaced Pilot PRU Structures that can be used with or without conjugate symbol repetition and phase randomization for interference mitigation.

Cruise control with braking activated brake regeneration

A controller unit facilitates determining that a fast approaching forward vehicle has breached a fast approach threshold and may initiate brake regeneration to slow a commercial hybrid host vehicle in which the controller is employed. The controller determines whether there is capacity in the state of charge (SOC) of a high voltage battery to permit brake regeneration, and / or determines whether there is capacity in on board air tanks to permit a compressor motor to compress air, thereby drawing charge from the battery to create brake regeneration capacity. When battery SOC is below a predetermined threshold and a fast approaching vehicle breaches a fast approach threshold, the controller sends a brake regeneration command to a traction motor to act as a generator to supply charge to the battery, which in turn slows the vehicle.

Novel method to quickly warp a 2-D image using only integer math

Systems and methods are disclosed that facilitate rapidly warping a two-dimensional image using integer math. A warping table can contain two-dimensional floating point output pixel offset values that are mapped to respective input pixel locations in a captured image. The warping table values can be pre-converted to integer offset values and integer grid values mapped to a sub-pixel grid. During warping, each output pixel can be looked up via its integer offset value, and a one-dimensional table lookup for each pixel can be performed to interpolate pixel data based at least in part on the integer grid value of the pixel. Due to the small size of the lookup tables, lookups can potentially be stored in and retrieved from a CPU cache, which stores most recent instructions to facilitate extremely rapid warping and fast table lookups.
