The invention relates to the technical field of
organic synthesis catalysis, and discloses a method for catalytically synthesizing
bisphenol A by using modified Al
ion exchange resin, which comprises the following steps: firstly, pretreating 732 #
ion exchange resin: soaking the 732 #
ion exchange resin by using a saturated
salt water solution with the volume twice that of the treated resin, and rinsing by using deionized water after the
salt water is completely discharged, so that discharged water is not yellow; soaking the resin by using a NaOH solution with the
mass concentration of 2-4% and the same amount as that of the NaOH solution, and washing the resin by using deionized water after the alkali liquor is completely discharged until discharged water is close to neutral; and finally, soaking in an HCl solution with the
mass concentration of 5% and the same amount as the above, completely discharging the acid solution, washing with deionized water until the solution is neutral, and
drying for later use. The modified Al
ion exchange resin is used for catalytic synthesis of
bisphenol A, the modified Al
ion exchange resin can be used as a catalyst, the reaction time is shortened, the
recovery efficiency is high, a sulfhydryl compound is not needed as a cocatalyst, the
molar ratio of
phenol to
acetone is 8: 1, and the cost of raw materials is greatly reduced.
