The method comprises the following steps: a, blank system reaction, in which, nicotine and nitrite are mixed in buffer solution according to a molar ratio of 1:1-5, and react under a certain condition; b, inhibiting system reaction, in which, the nicotine and the nitrite are mixed according to the same proportion of the step a, after additive in certain amount is added to the mixture, and the mixture perform reaction according to the same buffer system, the same temperature and time of the step a; and c, respective extraction and separation, measuring TSNAs contents in the blank system and the inhibiting system respectively by a GC-TEA method to compare differences of the two systems and evaluate the inhibiting effects of the additive. The method has the advantages that a quick, accurate and scientific evaluation method is established, and the inhibiting effect of various additives on TSNAs generation can be objectively evaluated through specific measurement data, so that initial screen can be carried out on different additives which are planned to apply to tobacco.
