The invention relates to a method for rolling a thin X70 pipeline steel strip, and belongs to the technical field of hot continuous rolling steel plate and steel strip rolling. The method comprises the following steps: a, manufacturing a steel billet; b, heating the steel billet, and sending the steel billet to a reheating process to be uniformly heated; c, performing dephosphorization treatment,specifically, high-pressure water is adopted to dephosphorize the steel billet; d, performing rough rolling, namely rolling the steel billet into a steel strip through a rough rolling mill; e, performing finish rolling; and f, carrying out laminar flow cooling to prepare a steel strip, cooling the steel strip by adopting water cooling, wherein the proportions of boiling water of an upper header pipe to boiling water of a lower header pipe of laminar flow cooling is 70% and 100%, starting side water spraying or side air spraying to purge accumulated water on the surface of a steel plate, and controlling the temperature of laminar flow cooling water within the range of 29+/-1 DEG C. According to the method, the wave shape of the steel strip is improved by optimizing the laminar cooling process, and the problems that due to the fact that the heat transfer efficiency of the steel strip is high in the cooling process of existing thin X70 pipeline steel, the temperature drop difference between the edge part and the middle part of the steel strip is larger, and thus the residual stress difference in the steel strip is larger, and a good plate shape is not well maintained are solved.
