111 results about "Basal lamina" patented technology

The basal lamina is a layer of extracellular matrix secreted by the epithelial cells, on which the epithelium sits. It is often incorrectly referred to as the basement membrane, though it does constitute a portion of the basement membrane. The basal lamina is visible only with the electron microscope, where it appears as an electron-dense layer that is 20–100 nm thick (with some exceptions that are thicker, such as basal lamina in lung alveoli and renal glomeruli).

Three dimensional vaginal tissue model containing immune cells

Disclosed is a cervico-vaginal tissue equivalent comprised of vaginal epithelial cells and immune cells, cultured at the air-liquid interface. The tissue equivalent is capable of being infected with a sexually transmitted pathogen such as a virus (e.g., HIV), a bacteria, a helminthic parasite, or a fungus. The tissue equivalent is also capable of undergoing an allergic-type reaction or an irritant-type reaction. The tissue equivalent is characterized as having nucleated basal layer cells and nucleated suprabasal layer cells, and further as having cell layers external to the suprabasal layer progressively increasing in glycogen content and progressively decreasing in nuclei content. Immune cells of the tissue equivalent are primarily located in the basal and suprabasal layers. Also disclosed are methods for producing the tissue equivalent. The methods involve providing vaginal epithelial cells and immune cells, seeding the cells onto a porous support, and co culturing the seeded cells at the air-liquid interface under conditions appropriate for differentiation. One such method disclosed is for generation of the tissue equivalent in serum free medium. Specific cells from which the tissue equivalent is generated, and also specific preferred components of the medium in which the tissue equivalent is generated are provided. Also disclosed is a cervico-vaginal tissue equivalent produced by the methods disclosed herein.

Method and apparatus for diagnosing and correcting basal lamina offset

The invention discloses a substrate offset diagnosis and correction method, which comprises a diagnosis step (10) and a correction step (20) as follows: in the diagnosis step, determining whether the substrate carried by a transmission part is offset based on the detection result of a first sensor; in case of no offset, do not carry out the following correction step; in case of offset, carrying out the correction step; in the correction step, adjusting the location of the substrate, and then enabling the substrate to eliminate offset and return to the baseline position. In addition, the invention also provides a substrate offset diagnosis and correction device which comprises a diagnosis unit and a correction unit, wherein, the diagnosis unit is used to judge whether the substrate carried by the transmission part is offset; in case of offset, triggering the correction unit to work; in case of no offset, do not carry out any operation; the correction unit is used to adjust the location of the substrate and enable the substrate to eliminate offset and return to the baseline position. The method and the device are simple to use and enable the substrate to be accurately transmitted; besides, the device has high transmission accuracy and good reliability.

Gas diffusion layer used for fuel cell with proton exchange film, production and application thereof

The invention relates to a gas diffusion layer for a proton exchange membrane fuel cell, wherein, the gas diffusion layer is composed of a basal cell layer and a microporous layer, wherein, the total weight percentage content of a hydrophobic agent in the basal cell layer is 1-50 percent; and the hydrophobic nature in the basal cell layer shows the gradient decrease from the side of the microporous layer to the side of a flow field. The preparation steps are as follows: a) the hydrophobic agent is evenly dispersed in a solvent to form slurry; b) the slurry is evenly prepared to the surface of a porous conductive basal cell layer material from one side, the slurry is sunk into the basal cell layer material under the action of gravity and viscous force, thereby realizing the gradient distribution in the basal cell layer; c) the basal cell layer of a gas diffusion electrode is formed by baking for 20-40 minutes at 300-400 DEG C. The gas diffusion layer is applied to hydrogen-oxygen proton exchange membrane fuel cells and direct alcohol fuel cells, as well as cells, electrolytic cells and sensors with the gas diffusion electrode structures. As the gas diffusion layer adopts the gradient hydrophobization, the gas diffusion layer is conductive to the discharge of water which is a cathode product and improves the cell performance.

Silicosis treatment aerosol containing human mesenchymal stem cell exosome extract and preparation method thereof

The invention discloses a silicosis treatment aerosol containing a human mesenchymal stem cell exosome extract and a preparation method thereof, wherein the main component of the aerosol is the high-concentration mesenchymal stem cell exosome extract. The mesenchymal stem cells can secrete various cell factors in the culture process, and the cell factors can penetrate into the basal layer of an inner membrane, promote tissue differentiation of the inner membrane, angiogenesis and growth of granulation tissues, promote regeneration and repair of damaged skin tissue structures, reduce generation of scar connective tissues and reduce bacterial infection and inflammatory reaction of wound surface tissues. According to the aerosol and the preparation method thereof, a method of continuous starvation of the mesenchymal stem cells is adopted, a high-concentration human mesenchymal extract can be obtained in a short period of time, and a big amount of stem cell exosomes can be separated from the mesenchymal extract by an exosome extractor. The aerosol containing the high-concentration mesenchymal stem cell exosome extract disclosed by the invention is suitable for the restoration and treatment of silicosis.
