This invention provides a method for extracting polyphenols from Cornus officinalis seeds using ultrasound-assisted eutectic solvent extraction and its application, belonging to the field of natural polyphenol extraction. An ultrasound-assisted eutectic solvent extraction system for Cornus officinalis seed polyphenols was established, using a DES composed of betaine-glycerol-xylitol (molar ratio 4:6:1). Under conditions of 70% mass fraction, a solid-liquid ratio of 1:15 g / g, and ultrasound extraction for 60 min, the extraction rate of Cornus officinalis seed polyphenols reached 18.13%, approximately 1.60 times higher than the traditional ethanol extraction method. The entire extraction process is green, environmentally friendly, and highly efficient, without the use of organic reagents, and the extraction time is short. The obtained polyphenol extract exhibits strong free radical scavenging activity and tyrosinase inhibitory activity. The DPPH free radical scavenging rate is 4 times that of vitamin C, and the ABTS free radical scavenging rate is 2 times that of vitamin C.
