3 results about "Platinum resistance" patented technology

To clarify our terminology, platinum refractory disease refers to cancer that progresses during platinum therapy. This would be considered the most platinum resistant of the ovarian patients. The term “platinum resistant” developed over the last two decades, by Markman and others,...

Anti-cancer vaccines and related therapy

ActiveUS12674179B2Platinum resistanceNucleotide
The present invention provides an anti-cancer vaccine comprising: (i) at least one peptide comprising the amino acid sequence of a neoantigen encoded by a mutant homologous recombination (HR) DNA repair gene selected from the group: BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, CDK12, RAD51B, RAD51C and RAD51D, wherein the mutant gene comprises a reversion mutation; and / or (ii) at least one polynucleotide encoding the at least one peptide of (i). Also provided are engineered T cells that recognise said neoantigen. Related methods and medical uses of the vaccine and / or engineered T cell are provided, including for the treatment of cancers, such as homologous recombination (HR) deficient cancers that acquire PARP inhibitor resistance or platinum resistance by development of reversion mutations in an HR DNA repair gene selected from the group: BRCA1, BRCA2, PALB2, CDK12, RAD51B, RAD51C and RAD51D.

Platinum resistance temperature sensor with floating platinum member

The invention is entitled "Platinum Resistance Temperature Sensor with Floating Platinum Member". A platinum resistance temperature sensor is disclosed having a housing containing a platinum member. The housing includes a first substrate having a first support and a second support spaced apart from an upper surface of the first substrate. The first support of the first substrate supports a first portion of the platinum member and the second support supports a second portion of the platinum member. An intermediate portion of the platinum member is suspended above the upper surface of the first substrate between the first support and the second support.

This invention discloses a novel application of undecanoic acid in inducing ferroptosis in laryngeal cancer cells and in the preparation of anti-laryngeal cancer drugs. For the first time, it was discovered that the known compound undecanoic acid can specifically target the mitochondria of laryngeal cancer cells, inducing mitochondrial structural damage and dysfunction. This, in turn, activates the ferroptosis pathway through multiple mechanisms, including increasing intracellular ferrous ion accumulation, increasing lipid peroxide levels, downregulating GPX4 / SLC7A11 expression, and upregulating ACSL4 expression, thereby effectively inhibiting the proliferation of laryngeal cancer cells. Based on this mechanism, this invention provides a pharmaceutical composition with undecanoic acid as the active ingredient, and its combined application with platinum-based drugs (such as cisplatin). This combined treatment exhibits a significant synergistic effect, particularly overcoming the platinum resistance of laryngeal cancer cells. This invention provides a novel drug selection and combination therapy strategy for the treatment and prevention of laryngeal cancer and precancerous lesions.
