In one embodiment, first and second MIMO communication paths are shared on the same optical fiber using frequency conversion to avoid interference issues, wherein the second communication path is provide to a remote extension unit to remote antenna unit. In another embodiment, the optical fiber-based distributed antenna systems may be configured to allow to provide MIMO communication configurations with existing components. Existing capacity of system components are employed to create second communication paths for MIMO configurations, thereby reducing overall capacity, but allowing avoidance of frequency conversion components and remote extension units.

In a wireless communication system the receiver includes a first plurality of receive chains and a second plurality of antennas. Each receive chain is selectively connectable to selected antennas. The antennas are selected based on criteria obtained from a received RF signal to produce an antenna configuration connected to the receive chains to reduce RF fading at the receiver. An electronic switch connects the antennas to the receive chains. The receiver is programmed to determine which antenna should be connected to each receive chain by the switch by measuring characteristics of the received signal for each allowed antenna configuration and selecting the best antenna configuration. A method and apparatus for interference suppression in wireless communication systems, especially Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexed (OFDM) systems. The array apparatus includes a two-tier adaptive array system which provides for both spatial diversity and beamforming at the uplink. The adaptive array is comprised of sub-arrays spaced at a distance sufficient to provide spatial diversity, ideally 5 to 15 wavelengths at the frequency of operation. Each sub-array is composed of at least two antenna elements spaced in proximity sufficient to provide effective beamforming or scanning, ideally less then one-half of one wavelength at the frequency of operation. The Direction of Arrival (DOA) of signals impinging upon the array can be calculated by comparing signals from sub-array elements. Each sub-array can then be filtered or beamformed so as to provide high gain to desired signals received from the DOA (which may be a multipath signal) while at the same time damping out undesired signals such as co-channel interference (CCI) in the frequency band of operation. The DOA is also used in a method of allocating frequency bins for data signals, such as in an OFDMA system, to provide weighted guidelines for bin allocation to maximize received signal power.

And thus, the video signal processing device and its method capable of improving the quality of picture in the image can be realized.

Therefore, the drying and color-retaining method for camellia petals, disclosed by the invention, has the advantages of low color fading degree, no color spots, stable shapes of the petals and better toughness of the petals.
