The invention relates to an absorption refrigerator by adopting CO2 as a refrigerant, which comprises an absorber, a flow control valve, a generator, a condenser, a throttle, an evaporator and a liquid pump. The absorber, the flow control valve, the generator, the condenser, the throttle and the evaporator are connected with one another sequentially to form a refrigerating circuit; the liquid pump is communicated with the absorber and the generator; the flowing working medium in the refrigerating circuit comprises an absorbent and the CO2 refrigerant; and the absorbent is ionic liquid, alkaline solution or a mixture of the ionic liquid and the alkaline solution. The CO2 in the absorber and the absorbent enter the generator after being pressurized by the liquid pump, the temperature raises through heating, the CO2 is separated from the absorbent and enters the condenser, and the absorbent returns to the absorber again; the CO2 is condensed and cooled in the condenser, and is refrigerated under reduced pressure by the throttle so that the temperature is further reduced; the CO2 refrigerates the condensed medium in the evaporator; and at last the CO2 returns to the absorber again and is dissolved in the absorbent. The absorption refrigerator of the invention adopts the CO2 as the working medium, so the absorption refrigerator has the advantages of no toxicity, no explosivity, environmental friendliness and high refrigerating capacity per unit volume.

A CO2 absorption refrigerator driven by solar energy comprises an absorber, a boosting pump, a solar generator, a pressure reduction element, an evaporator, an absorber and a flow control valve communicated with a connecting pipe between the absorber and the solar generator, wherein the absorber, the boosting pump, the solar generator, the pressure reduction element, the evaporator and the absorber are sequentially connected and form a refrigeration loop, a transmitting element is installed at the upper end of the solar generator, and the evaporator is connected with the absorber.
