These antibacterial components are obtained by ultrasonic extraction of a traditional Chinese medicine composition containing Coptis chinensis, Phellodendron chinense, Scutellaria baicalensis, Lonicera japonica, and Forsythia suspensa. The antibacterial components are covalently bonded to the DTY nylon 6 filament through amide, ester, and urethane bonds. The preparation method includes: pulverizing the five traditional Chinese medicines, followed by ultrasonic extraction, solid-liquid separation, decolorization, and vacuum concentration to obtain a natural concentrated antibacterial agent; then subjecting the DTY nylon 6 filament to a two-dip, two-nip impregnation treatment; and finally, pre-drying, baking, and drying to obtain the final product. The product of this invention exhibits an inhibition rate of ≥95% against Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, maintains good antibacterial properties after 10 washes, and retains essentially the original physical properties of the fiber. It is safe and environmentally friendly and can be widely used in the production of antibacterial textiles such as clothing and home textiles.
