Novel proton exchange membrane fuel cells and direct methanol fuel cells with nanostructured components are configured with higher precious metal utilization rate at the electrodes, higher power density, and lower cost. To form a catalyst, platinum or platinum-ruthenium nanoparticles are deposited onto carbon-based materials, for example, single-walled, dual-walled, multi-walled and cup-stacked carbon nanotubes. The deposition process includes an ethylene glycol reduction method. Aligned arrays of these carbon nanomaterials are prepared by filtering the nanomaterials with ethanol. A membrane electrode assembly is formed by sandwiching the catalyst between a proton exchange membrane and a diffusion layer that form a first electrode. The second electrode may be formed using a conventional catalyst. The several layers of the MEA are hot pressed to form an integrated unit. Proton exchange membrane fuel cells and direct methanol fuel cells are developed by stacking the membrane electrode assemblies in a conventional manner.

The mixed permanent magnetic pole-alternating and magnetic flux-switching memory motor comprises a salient rotor and a stator, wherein the stator contains stator cores, aluminium-nickel-cobalt permanent magnets, neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets, centralized armature windings and pulsed magnetism-adjusting windings; iron core edges of two adjacent outer U-shaped units and tangentially-magnetized long-stripped neodymium-iron-boron permanent magnets form a first permanent magnetic pole, while the circumferentially-inward (outward) and parallel-magnetized V-shaped embedded aluminium-nickel-cobalt permanent magnets and inner U-shaped units form a second permanent magnetic pole; mixed magnetic poles are in alternating polarity distribution; when the motor runs at a low speed, the pulsed magnetism-adjusting windings are in direct-current pulsed working state, while in a high-speed weak-magnetism area, the pulsed magnetism-adjusting windings are converted into alternating-current armature windings. Requirements on performance in a low-speed area and in the high-speed area can be met at the same time; influence of an armature reaction field on the aluminium-nickel-cobalt permanent magnets with low coercivity is small; the utilization rate of permanent magnetism, the torque density, and the reliability of system operation are high.

According to the magnetic flux switching type permanent magnet memory motor disclosed by the invention, a motor no-load gap magnetic field is adjustable, and the weak magnetism capability and the rotary speed operation speed of the motor are improved; and meanwhile, the torque and the power density of the motor are improved and the copper consumption of the motor is reduced.

Laser diode bars (314) are fitted in alternate grooves, and every other groove is left vacant to serve as a cooling channel (316). The array is immersion cooled in a housing (210). Liquid coolant is circulated through the housing (210) and through a heat exchanger (216). The liquid coolant flows over a major surface of the substrate (310) and through the cooling channels (316). Thus, heat is removed by circulating fluid from three sides of the laser diode bars (314). Such high-performance cooling permits the laser diode array to have a greater power density.

Halbach array permanent magnet DC brushless motor

The present invention discloses a Halbach array permanent magnet DC brushless motor which comprises a shell, a stator, a rotor and a commutation circuit. The rotor comprises a rotary table body and 4n permanent magnet blocks which form a Halbach ring array. The stator comprises a magnet yoke and 4n groups of coils for constructing the Halbach array. The commutation circuit is connected to the coils. When the radially magnetized permanent magnet blocks and coils pointing at the permanent magnet blocks are in the same magnetic direction, the current direction of the coils is changed. Both the rotor permanent magnet blocks and the stator coils use the Halbach arrays, the electrical magnetic field generated by the coils at an action pole surface is larger than that of a traditional structure coil, the utilization rate of magnetic energy is improved significantly, and the magnetic field intensity between a permanent magnet ring and an induction ring is improved significantly. Compared with the existing motor, torque and power density are larger in the same volume, the volume and weight are smaller in the same output power, and the Halbach array permanent magnet DC brushless motor has the advantages of simple structure, high efficiency, good heat dissipation and low failure rate and belongs to a novel brushless motor.

The flyback power converter includes a voltage transformer, a main switch, a synchronous rectification switch, a synchronous rectification control circuit, a sampling circuit and an operation circuit. A control end of the main switch receives a main switch signal so as to control the main switch. The synchronous rectification control circuit transmits control signal to control end of the synchronous rectification switch according to sensing signal received. The sampling circuit samples the state of the synchronous rectification switch so as to generate first logic signal and second logic signal. The operation circuit executes timing for charging / discharging according to the first and the second logic-signal, so as to output switch cut-off pulse signal to a voltage-dividing circuit. If voltage of the sensing signal is lower than predetermined threshold voltage, the synchronous rectification switch enters into cut-off state according to the control signal.

Zero Voltage Switching Flying Capacitor Power Converters

Circuit structures and methods are described for achieving zero voltage switching in flying capacitor converters for both isolated and non-isolated applications. A first method is described in which zero voltage switching is achieved by operating the circuit with a variable frequency so that each switch in its on state remains on until the magnetizing current in a main inductor is reversed to a current magnitude sufficient to drive a zero voltage switching transition for a main switch. A second method is implemented with a main coupled inductor wherein a winding current is reversed and energy in a leakage inductance drives a zero voltage switching transition for a main switch. A third method is implemented with auxiliary inductors, auxiliary switches, and auxiliary capacitors which reverse the current in the auxiliary inductor which provides the necessary energy for driving a zero voltage switching transition for a main switch.

The side, close to the micropore array collimator, of the radioactive source substrate plate is covered with an alpha radioactive source, and the positive electrode and the negative electrode of the battery are led out through the silicon carbide semiconductor transducer. According to the invention, the micropore array collimator is used for controlling the energy deposition distribution of the energy-carrying alpha particles in the silicon carbide semiconductor transducer, the irradiation damage of the alpha particles to the sensitive area of the silicon carbide semiconductor transducer is weakened, and the service life of the nuclear battery is effectively prolonged.
