The novel water purifying plant comprises a water storage body, a water processing assembly arranged in the water storage body, a purified water storage assembly and a limiting mechanism, wherein the limiting mechanism is arranged on the water storage body or is arranged inside the water storage body; the water processing assembly consists of a primary filter assembly the lower part of which is provided with a water inlet and a functional filter material assembly communicated with the inside of the primary filter assembly; and the functional filter material assembly is provided with a secondary purified water inlet connected with a primary filtered water outlet of the primary filter assembly and a secondary purified water outlet connected with the purified water storage assembly. The water purifying method comprises the following steps: subsiding a pressure generated in the process of discharging water in the water by the water processing assembly; and making the water flow through the primary filter assembly and the functional filter material assembly from top to bottom to be purified and finally flow into the purified water storage assembly. The novel water purifying plant has the advantages of simple structure, convenient use, electricity consumption prevention, no pollution, large flux, low cost and wide application range, can effectively purify various different water qualities and can realize the using requirement according to the different water qualities.
