The heat sources are adjusted to maintain a temperature which is safe for the materials and which will promote maximum outgassing rates. During the treatment process, while a vacuum and heat are being applied to the subject object, the gasses in the chamber are monitored for both their composition and quantity. When the outgassing rates of the VOCs reach acceptable levels, the process cycle is terminated. The vacuum in the chamber is broken to restore atmospheric pressure, and the object being treated is removed from the chamber.
