In 126 cases of clinical observation for treatment of knee osteoarthritis by using the cataplasm, treatment effects of a treatment group and a control group are subjected to statistic processing by adopting a chi-square test (2*c contingency table independence test), and results show remarkable differences between the two groups (p is less than 0.05), thereby indicating that the curative effect of the cataplasm for treating the knee osteoarthritis is better than that of damp-removing and pain-relieving ointment.
