The invention discloses a two-way adjustable pintle type
injector and a liquid
rocket engine. The
injector comprises an injection panel, an
injector shell connected with the injection panel, a
needle valve for isolating fuel and an
oxidizing agent, a fixed pintle and a movable pintle
top cap, wherein the fixed pintle and the movable pintle
top cap form an
oxidizing agent inner ring channel together with the
needle valve; the telescopic mechanism is used for adjusting the opening gap of the
nozzle; an oxidant
injection port is formed in the top end of the center of the injector shell, and a
fuel injection port is formed in the outer side of the injector; an axial fuel
nozzle is formed between the inner side of the injection panel and the outer surface of the
needle valve, a radial oxidant
nozzle is formed between the inner surface of the needle valve and the outer surface of the pintle
top cap, and the two propellants are subjected to mixed
combustion through the nozzles in different directions; the opening size of the nozzle is adjusted through the telescopic mechanism, the
mixing ratio of the two propellants can be adjusted conveniently, therefore, real-time regulation and control of the
rocket thrust are achieved, and meanwhile the injector has the advantages of being simple in structure and low in cost.
