The method comprises the following steps of increasing the content of polyamine substance of related metabolites in a rice polyamine metabolic pathway, so as to reach the purpose of increasing the content of GABA in the brown rice; enhancing the expression of related genes in the polyamine metabolic pathway in the brown rice seeds brown rice, such as arginine decarboxylase genes, ornithine decarboxylase genes, polyamine oxidase genes or diamine oxidase genes; or performing adverse treatment on the rice, and inducing to increase the content of related polyamine metabolites in the brown rice. The method has the advantages that the content of GABA in the brown rice is greatly increased, the operation is convenient, and the effect is obvious; the method can be applied to common normal-embryo brown rice, and huge-embryo brown rice.
