phenols from middle-low-temperature 
coal tar crude 
phenols. The method includes a pretreatment step and a mixed 
phenol separation step, the pretreatment step includes performing 
dehydration, light component removal, heavy component removal and 
pyridine compound removal treatment on the middle-low-temperature 
coal tar crude 
phenols to obtain pretreated mixed phenols, and the mixed 
phenol separation step includes separating phenols, orthocresol, 2, 6-dimethylphenol and 
cresol in the pretreated mixed phenols. The device comprises a pretreatment 
system and a continuous rectification 
system, the pretreatment 
system comprises a dehydrating 
tower, a light component removal 
tower, a heavy component removal 
tower and a 
pyridine extraction device which are sequentially connected, and the continuous rectification system comprises a 
phenol refining tower,a orthocresol refining tower, 2, 6-dimethylphenol refining tower, a 
cresol tower and a 
cresol refining tower which are sequentially connected. According to the method and the device, the middle-low-temperature 
coal tar crude phenols are separated to obtain the phenol, the orthocresol, the 2, 6-dimethylphenol and the cresol.
