By adjusting the adding amount of nickel salt in the 2-methylimidazole cobalt and melamine compound, the magnetic metal components and content in the derived cobalt-nickel-carbon material, the graphitization degree and structural form of the carbon material and the like are effectively adjusted, optimization of electromagnetic loss is achieved, and then effective absorption frequency band broadening is achieved under the low filling degree. The introduction of the nickel nanoparticles promotes the appearance of the sheet-shaped carbon material, and the cobalt and nickel nanoparticles catalyze the growth of the short carbon nanotubes, so that both the cobalt and nickel nanoparticles are helpful for enhancing the conductivity under a low filling degree; and more surface defects and abundant interface structures also promote the enhancement of polarization loss. The effective absorption frequency band of the derived cobalt-nickel-carbon composite wave-absorbing material can reach 5.6 GHz under the conditions that the filling degree is 20 wt% and the thickness is 1.7 mm, and excellent light broadband wave-absorbing characteristics are shown. The manufacturing cost is low, and the manufacturability is good.
