The invention provides a longitudinal cracking bleed-out detection and prediction device for a continuous casting sheet billet and a detection method thereof. The device is mounted at the area between a first sector section and a second sector section below a slab casting machine crystallizer and comprises high-temperature resistance metal ceramic probes, metal guide rods, a guide groove, hydraulic oil cylinders, hydraulic locks, one-way throttle valves, a reversing valve, a hydraulic pump, an oil tank and a PLC control system. According to the method, the high-temperature resistance metal ceramic probes move back and forth on the continuous casting sheet billet, so that the actual temperature of the continuous casting sheet billet is detected, and then the temperature is transmitted to the PLC control system; when the detected temperature jumps above 50 DEG C, the PLC control system gives out an alarm automatically, at the moment, the system is automatically switched to be in an accident control mode or a manual operation mode, the casting speed of the continuous casting sheet billet is decreased so that longitudinal crack diffusion can be reduced, and therefore bleed-out of the sheet billet because of longitudinal cracking is prevented. By means of the device and method, the bleed-out probability of the continuous casting sheet billet due to longitudinal cracking is lowered, the device and method can be used for longitudinal cracking prediction control over a continuous casting machine apart from bleed-out prediction, and the promotional value is high.
