The invention discloses a yellow phosphorus tail gas purification method and system. The method comprises the following steps: washing yellow phosphorus tail gas at 10-15 DEG C to remove dust and part of elemental phosphorus; carrying out alkali wash on washed yellow phosphorus tail gas to remove acidic gas such as SO2, H2S and the like; introducing the yellow phosphorus tail gas after alkali wash into a first level oxidizing solution to be oxidized to remove PH3, wherein the first level oxidizing solution is one of KMnO4, NaClO3, KClO3 and Ca(ClO3)2 or combination of one, two or various of NaClO3, KMnO4, KClO3 and Ca(ClO3)2, and the mass concentration of the first level oxidizing solution is 0.4-0.8%; and neutralizing the oxidized yellow phosphorus tail gas by a NaOH solution to obtain purified yellow phosphorus tail gas. The yellow phosphorus tail gas purification method effectively removes harmful impurities and is low in energy consumption.
