The oxidizing type catalyst is used for purifying tail gas of heavy disease vehicles, and has high NO (nitric oxide) oxidizing ability in the cold start phase at low temperature, namely that NO is oxidized and converted into NO2 (nitrogen dioxide), so as to provide NO2 for the catalyzing reaction of downstream catalyzing units, such as DPF (diesel particulate filter) and SCR (selective catalytic reducer); finally, the NOx (oxynitride) is converted into N2 (nitrogen), so as to purify the NOx. A catalyst coating layer is coated by sections, andis mainly used for improving the ability of converting NO into NO2 at low temperature section, and accelerating the temperature for converting NO into NO2 to move towards the low temperature direction; a carrier material consists of cerium oxide and composite oxide thereof, and the coating is coated by sections, and is of a single-layer structure; the active components contain noble metals (Pt (platinum) and Pd (palladium)), and the total content is controlled within 5 to 15 g/ft3. The oxidizing type catalyst has the advantages that the preparation technology is simple, the cost is low, the property is stable, the good ability of converting NO into NO2 at low temperature is realized, and the oxidizing type catalyst is suitable for industrialized production.
