The invention provides a template-method
dyeing method for
metal surfaces. The method includes the steps that a
metal workpiece is polished with
abrasive paper to be smooth; the
metal workpiece is placed into ethyl
alcohol-
acetone mixing liquid after washed with water so as to be subject to ultrasonic treatment; then the metal workpiece is placed into
electrophoresis liquid after washed with water, and
electrophoresis is carried out with the metal workpiece as a positive pole and stainless steel as a negative pole at the normal temperature, wherein the
voltage ranges from 1 V to 50 V, and the
electrophoresis time ranges from 1 min to 60 min; the metal workpiece obtained after electrophoresis is directly placed into
corrosion liquid -to be corroded for 1 min to 120 min; the corroded metal workpiece is thoroughly washed with water, dried and placed into dye liquor to be soaked for 1 min to 30 min, and then the metal workpiece is taken out, thoroughly washed with
clean water, and placed into boiling water for hole sealing for 10 min to 30 min; and then the metal workpiece is taken out and dried, and finished products are obtained. By means of the
dyeing technology, according to the design of characteristics of most of metal, the beneficial effects of being simple in
processing technology, low in temperature, environment-friendly, less in energy dissipation, high in efficiency and even and abundant in color are achieved, and the wide application prospect is achieved.
