A composite spherical active carbon adsorbent is prepared by the following raw materials by weight: 100-120 parts of active carbon, 20-25 parts of clay, 6-8 parts of glyceryl triacetate, 15-20 parts of wooden saw dust, 5-7 parts of eleaostearic acid, 15-20 parts of walnut shell, 7-9 parts of polyacrylamide, 3-5 parts of titanium dioxide, 4-5 parts of modified diatomite, and a proper amount of water. The spherical active carbon adsorbent has advantages of reasonable composition, novel preparation technology and simple equipment structure, the prepared finished product reaches an ideal effect on the indexes of compressive strength, powder drop rate, iodine adsorption, benzene adsorption and desulphurization; and the spherical shape makes it easy for the adsorbent to flow, and makes it convenient for the adsorbent to be subpackaged and packaged by using current various packaging equipment. Titanium dioxide is used to make the adsorbent provided by the invention have advantages of very strong UV absorption performance, infrared reflection characteristic, self-cleaning performance, and sterilization and deodorization in the medical field.
