The method comprises the following steps of: (1) initiating to set main and auxiliary machines and move a twin-wire welding gun to a starting point of a workpiece required to be welded; (2) detecting whether a start switch is switched off; (3) when two welding machines in the system receive a starting signal at the same time, feeding two welding wires at a preset arc ignition wire feed speed and maintaining the twin-wire welding gun in the starting point position; (4) judging whether the arc ignitions of the two welding wires are successful; (5) after confirming the success of arc ignition of both the two welding wires, gradually increasing the feed speed of the two welding wires from the arc ignition wire feed speeds to a normal weld speed at a preset slope; and (6) moving the twin-wire welding gun according to a preset motion track until ending. The arc ignition cooperation control method provided by the invention can be used for greatly increasing the deposition rate and the welding efficiency. The two welding wires are alternately heated to achieve the effect of stirring a melting bath under the action of pulsed arcs, so that the weld defects such as slag inclusion and air holes during the welding process are prevented, the quality of weld seams is improved, and splashings are reduced.
