The invention relates to a preparation method of low-oxygen-content molybdenum powder. The method comprises the following steps that 2-10-micrometer molybdenum powder is adopted as a raw material andmolded by a cold isostatic press under the pressure of 150-300 MPa, then, a millstone machine is adopted for breaking the powder into 100-200 meshes, the powder is screened through a 100-mesh screen,the powder is subjected to hydrogenation treatment under the temperature of 1,000-1,500 DEG C, heat preservation is performed for 1-5 h, the powder is cooled to the room temperature and smashed through nitrogen atmosphere airflow and screened by a 100-mesh screen, and the molybdenum powder with the uniform granularity being 100 meshes and the oxygen content being 50-150 ppm is obtained. The technology is simple, the technology is extended directly on the traditional preparation technology, only a small amount of investment is needed, and the capacity is not limited; more importantly, the oxygen content is quite low, and the oxygen content of the molybdenum powder which is ordinarily 500-700 ppm is lowered to 50-150 ppm.
