Microwave drying of hides under vacuum in tanning equipment

By providing a hide processor or tanning drum with appropriate equipment for applying vacuum and microwave energy concurrently, these tanning machines become a versatile means of drying to yield dry hides that contain no salt yet store better than salted hides. In this novel process, fresh hides are loaded into the tanning machine where they are washed, demanured and then dried in situ under vacuum with concomitant application of microwave energy. Because the dried hides thus obtained are soft and pliable, they can be mechanically fleshed or shaved to remove the subcutaneous tissues rich in collagen and fat. Alternatively, the hides may be first dried in the tanning machine to below 35% moisture content and degreased using a solvent such as hexane. The solvent remaining in the hides after decantation of the unabsorbed liquid is vaporized at low temperature using vacuum and microwave energy. The hides are then dried in situ to the desired final moisture content. By shaving off the subcutaneous tissues of these hides a dry, fat-free, valuable undenatured collagen product is obtained. If the hides are unhaired before drying, they may be shaved and then accurately split. The process is also suitable for removing hair and fat from hide trimmings to obtain a valuable undenatured collagen product and fat. Furthermore, it can be used to remove fat from connective tissues and other animal offal containing no hair yielding a dry undenatured collagen product.

A preparation method of black-bone chicken oligopeptides and a separation and identification method of active peptide fragments belong to the technical field of biological medicine. The preparation method particularly comprises the following steps: pretreating a black-bone chicken which is killed and has feather being stripped off by wringing, adding water, heating, and fat removal, adding Protamex for enzymatic hydrolysis, then performing procedures of centrifugation, ultrafiltration, concentration, spray drying, and the like to obtain the black-bone chicken oligopeptides. Detection shows that components in the black-bone chicken oligopeptides, which has a molecular weight of less than 1000 Da, account for more than 85%. The black-bone chicken oligopeptides have high DPPH free radical removing activity with an IC50 value of 4.52 mg / mL. Also, the black-bone chicken oligopeptides have strong ACE inhibition activity with an IC50 value of 2.86 mg / mL. A part of active peptide fragments are separated and identified by an RP-HPLC method and a Q-TOF2 method, wherein 2 antioxidation active peptide fragments are LWR and NM; and 5 blood pressure-reducing active peptide fragments are LER, GAGP, KPGV, LH, and NM.

Method for embedding hydroxytyrosol by using gelatinized ginkgo starch via spraying

The invention discloses a method for embedding hydroxytyrosol by taking gelatinized ginkgo starch as a wall material and adopting spray drying technology. The method comprises: taking ginkgoes as a raw material, removing hulls and inner peel, performing ginkgo starch extraction, deproteinization and fat removal, performing gelatinization at a certain condition to prepare gelatinized starch, and performing freeze drying; taking a certain amount of gelatinized ginkgo starch, performing redissolution to prepare a uniform starch gel solution, adding a hydroxytyrosol solution for eddy mixing, performing high-pressure homogenization, and performing spray drying with the air intake temperature being 130-200 DEG C and the air-out temperature being 60-120 DEG C; and packaging the dried gelatinized-ginkgo-starch-embedded hydroxytyrosol powder in a brown or dark sealing bag and waiting for embedding rate determination. According to the preparation method, the defect that the quality of hydroxytyrosol is severely reduced in a storage process of hydroxytyrosol is overcome. The method is simple in treatment process, and the adopted gelatinized ginkgo starch is free of toxic or side effect. Through the sealing shell formed through hydroxytyrosol embedding, the problem of photosensitivity and oxidizability possibility of hydroxytyrosol is solved, and loss of biological components is reduced. The stability of hydroxytyrosol is improved, and the storage period is prolonged.

Method for purifying collagen derived from pelodiscus sinensis

The invention relates to a method for purifying collagen derived from pelodiscus sinensis. The method is characterized by comprising the steps of soaking, fat removal and enzymolysis; in an enzymolysis process, carinas of the pelodiscus sinensis, of which impurities are removed, are put into acetic acid with the concentration of 0.5mol/L, wherein the ratio of the carinas to the acetic acid is 1:25, pepsase enzymatic hydrolysate is added for enzymolysis treatment, and extraction is carried out at 4-10 DEG C for 24-48 h, so that a pelodiscus sinensis carina collagen coarse extracting solution is obtained; in a salting-out purification process, the coarse extracting solution is dissolved into a Tris-HCL buffer solution containing NaCl, the mixed solution is centrifuged to obtain supernatant, NaCl is added into the supernatant, salting-out is carried out, centrifugation is carried out again, and precipitates and the supernatant are respectively collected; and precipitates are dissolved into acetic acid with the concentration of 0.5 mol/L, and freeze-drying is carried out after dialysis, so that the pelodiscus sinensis collagen freeze-dried product is obtained. Compared with the prior art, the method provided by the invention has the advantages that collagen extracted through enzymolysis is purified through a salting-out purification method, so that no environment pollution is realized, the extraction efficiency is high and the obtained product has good biological characteristics.
