A hydrolyzable tannin or pyrogallol-type tannin is a type of tannin that, on heating with hydrochloric or sulfuric acids, yields gallic or ellagic acids. At the center of a hydrolyzable tannin molecule, there is a carbohydrate (usually D-glucose but also cyclitols like quinic or shikimic acids). The hydroxyl groups of the carbohydrate are partially or totally esterified with phenolic groups such as gallic acid in gallotannins or ellagic acid in ellagitannins. Hydrolysable tannins are mixtures of polygalloyl glucoses and/or poly-galloyl quinic acid derivatives containing in between 3 up to 12 gallic acid residues per molecule.

The invention discloses a mechanochemical extraction method for preparing a hydrolysable-tannin crude extract from trapa Sp. pericarps. The method comprises the steps of drying, smashing and sieving the trapa Sp. pericarps to obtain trapa Sp. pericarps powder, putting the trapa Sp. pericarps powder into a ball mill for ball milling treatment, mixing an extraction solvent with the trapa Sp. pericarps powder which is subjected to ball milling treatment, carrying out ultrasonic extraction, and adjusting the pH value of a dispersion solution which is subjected to ultrasonic extraction to be 2-4; performing standing for 3-5 hours, putting the dispersion solution into a centrifuge for centrifugal separation, conducting filtering, carrying out reduced-pressure distillation on a filtrate to removethe solvent in order to obtain a crude extract, and dissolving the crude extract in water again; performing extraction through petroleum ether, using ethyl acetate for extracting a raffinate phase, making the ethyl acetate phase subjected to rotary evaporation to remove the solvent, and then obtaining a hydrolysable-tannin crude extract product. According to the method, a mechanochemical auxiliary ultrasonic extraction technology is adopted for extracting the hydrolysable-tannin crude extract in the trapa Sp. pericarps, correspondingly the resource waste of the trapa Sp. pericarps is reducedon the premise of not causing further environmental pollution, the waste is turned into treasure, and the application field of the method is expanded.

Application of hydrolysable tannin in improvement of growth performance of prawns and intestinal microbial abundance of prawns

The invention discloses an application of hydrolysable tannin in improvement of the growth performance of litopenaeus vannamei and the intestinal microbial abundance of prawns. A basic feed is used asa blank group, and 0.1%, 0.2% and 0.3% of hydrolysable tannin are added in the basic feed to be used as experimental groups; after a culture experiment is carried out for 60 d, the growth performanceis counted, and the structure and change conditions of intestinal flora in the prawns are detected; results show that the weight gain rate, the specific growth rate and the fullness of the three hydrolysable tannin addition groups are significantly higher than those of the control group, and the liver-to-body ratio is significantly lowered; the species abundance and evenness of intestinal microorganisms in the experimental groups are generally higher than those of the control group. PCoA analysis finds out that the microflora of the addition groups with 0.1% and 0.3% of hydrolysable tannin are close, but are different from that of the addition group with 0.2% of hydrolysable tannin; with combination of growth performance indicators, 0.1% of hydrolysable tannin added in a feed can be moreeconomical. The researches show that the hydrolysable tannin added in the feed can significantly change the intestinal microbial composition of the prawns, increase the growth rate of the prawns, andaffect the growth performance of litopenaeus vannamei.
