Methods, apparatus and systems for personal care, such as treatment of a skin or hair treatment surface, are disclosed. In some embodiments, a base device is configured to thermally modify (heat or cool) an applicator on a hand piece that can then be used to cleanse, treat and/or otherwise rejuvenate the treatment surface. The applicator can be formulated with a smooth or abrasive material that can absorb, be coated with or otherwise take up a variety of materials, such as liquids, lotions, gels or creams, which are suitable for application to the treatment surface. The base device may thermally modify the material that is then coupled to the applicator and applied to the treatment surface during treatment. Application of the applicator at the desired temperature to the treatment surface may, for example, stimulate deeper blood circulation, clear pores, diminishes or removes deep and fine wrinkles, accelerate acne clearing, treat blemished skin, decrease edema and erythema of the skin, and/or reduce puritis of various etiologies. The hand piece may comprise one or more secondary treatment elements, such as LEDs for photoactivation, electrodes for delivery of micro-currents or vibrating elements for rubbing or abraiding, in order to achieve additional activation of the treatment surface and/or of the thermally modified material coupled to the applicator, which may enhance or improve treatment.

The invention relates to an ultrafine particle deduster used for treating industrial fumes. Specifically, an electro-bag compound deduster of the second-grade filtration mode is improved, an onflow vortex mechanism is arranged between the outlet of a filter bag dedusting mechanism and the inlet of an induced draft fan, and the onflow vortex mechanism comprises an onflow vortex chamber, a fume inlet tube and a fume outlet tube; the onflow vortex chamber is in bucket shape of which the cross section is an inversed isosceles trapezoid, and the bottom of the onflow vortex chamber is connected withan ash bucket chamber. Secondary treatment fume which contains finer particulate matters enters the fume inlet tube; airflow downwards deflects after passing through an air deflector and enters the onflow vortex chamber, and finer particulate matters and the inner wall of the onflow vortex chamber diffuse and collide to accelerate ultrafine particles to precipitate, thus separating ultrafine particulate matters from fume. The filter efficiency of the ultrafine particle of the invention can reach above 99.99%; under the condition that the resistance of the deduster body is smaller than 1000Pa(other conditions are same), an anode or cathode fiber filter bag of which the mesh aperture is 5 mu m is used, and the outlet concentration of the deduster is smaller than 15mg/Nm<3>.

The invention relates to a method for monitoring the circumferential strain of a casing by applying optical-fiber grating sensors, which mainly solves the problem that an electric-resistance strain gauge adopted of the current technology for monitoring the circumferential deformation of the casing is easy to be affected by electromagnetism in a well and corrosion, thus causing a measured circumferential strain signal of the casing to be inaccurate. The method is characterized in that: the optical-fiber grating sensors are arranged outside the casing along the circumferential direction of the casing, wherein, a plurality of optical-fiber grating sensors are evenly arranged around the casing; sections of adjacent intervals form a certain angle; an optical-fiber temperature compensating sensor is arranged in a position at a corresponding distance away from the group of sensors; the optical-fiber grating sensors are applied to monitoring the circumferential deformation and stress status of the casing within certain ranges; meanwhile, the temperature compensating sensor is applied to serving the temperature compensation and temperature monitoring in the well of the strain sensor; the sensors transmit underground signals to the ground by a transmission optical cable; and the signals can be transformed into the circumferential strain information of the casing after a demodulation instrument obtains the signals and carries out secondary treatment. The method is characterized by not being affected by the underground electromagnetism.
