The crystalline glaze is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 10-100 parts of glass powder, 1-50 parts of zinc oxide, 1-50 parts of titanium dioxide, 1-30 parts of kaoline and 1-20 parts of barite. The invention further provides a preparation method of the crystalline glaze. According to the invention, the barite is added into thecrystalline glaze, is slowly decomposed under high temperature, and can release small bubbles to obstruct the growth of crystals, so that the shapes and sizes of the crystals can be controlled, and the shapes and sizes of crystal flowers of the fired crystalline glaze tend to be uniform, so that the crystalline glaze is especially suitable for batch production of different batches and whole sets of products; and in addition, the generation of porcelain explosion defects of products can be reduced and the finished product ratio can be increased.
