The invention provides a molecule-based two-dimensional room-temperature ferromagnet, a preparation method thereof and an electronic device comprising the molecule-based two-dimensional room-temperature ferromagnet. The preparation method of the molecule-based two-dimensional room-temperature ferromagnet comprises the following steps: carrying out intercalation treatment by taking
cobaltocene as an intercalation object and a layered material as an intercalation subject. Under the wet
chemical reaction condition, the layered material serves as an intercalation subject,
cobaltocene serves as an intercalation object, magnetic
cobaltocene molecules are inserted into Van der Waals interlayer space of the layered material, the molecules can be subjected to confinement
assembly, and therefore the two-dimensional room-temperature ferromagnet originating in molecular
magnetism is obtained. The method provided by the invention is simple in condition process, high in yield, intact in structure preservation, excellent in performance and good in atmospheric stability, and is suitable for ferromagnetic functionalization of small molecules and application fields of the small molecules in electronic devices, optoelectronic devices,
spintronics devices and the like. Experimental results show that in the material provided by the invention, cobaltocene molecules can be assembled in order in a two-dimensional Van der Waals confinement space, and the material has room-temperature
ferromagnetism.
