Paenibacillus mucilaginosus high producing strain KN-18 is preserved in China Center for Type Culture Collection with the preservation number of CCTCC NO:M2014321. The strain has extremely strong
silicon releasing and
spore producing ability, and the
silicon releasing ability of a strain broth can reach 26.8[mu]g / ml, and is substantially better than the
silicon releasing ability of an original strain and other
Paenibacillus mucilaginosus. The invention also discloses a culturing method of the
Paenibacillus mucilaginosus high producing strain. The
spore number of the broth obtained through the method can reach 2 billions / ml, and is substantially better than that of other culturing methods. The
Paenibacillus mucilaginosus can be used in rice as a biological
fertilizer to increase the stem height of the rice by above 5%, increase the length of spike of rice by above 4%, increase the number of filled grains by above 7% and the yield per 666.667m<2> by above 9%; and the
Paenibacillus mucilaginosus can be used in muskmelon to make the muskmelon mature 2d earlier, increase the melon number per
plant by 0.1, increase the weight per melon by above 5% and the yield per 666.667m<2> by above 9%.
