The drying method adopts a waste paint residue drying system, which comprises a primary filtering device, a preheating device, a dosing device, a main drying machine and an exhaust gas treatment device, wherein the waste paint residue is fed to the primary filtering device for temporary storage and pretreatment; the preheating device is communicated with the primary filtering device, the dosing device and the main drying machine respectively; and themain drying machine is communicated with the exhaust gas treatment device through a vacuum pipeline. The drying method of the invention improves the reduction rate of the waste paint residue, reducesthe energy consumption for the unit drying of the waste paint residue, and achieves the reduction treatment of continuous drying of the waste paint residue.
