The invention relates to a
processing method allowing the seeds of
Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis to grow roots in four months and to grow leaves in eight months. The method comprises the following steps: step 1, in early September, selecting mature seed capsules of
Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis, spreading the seed capsules to
low density and
drying the seed capsules in the shade for 30 days; step 2, in early October, standing the
Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis seeds dried in the shade at a low temperature for 15 to 20 days to realize
low temperature treatment; step 3, in mid-October, stripping
capsule hulls of the Paris
polyphylla var. yunnanensis seeds having undergone
low temperature treatment,
sowing the Paris
polyphylla var. yunnanensis seeds with red coats in prepared
seedling trays and carrying out seed
germination; step 4, putting the
seedling trays treated in the third step in a
cold storage and carrying out
low temperature treatment for 15 to 20 days; step 5, in mid-January,
sowing the Paris
polyphylla var. yunnanensis seeds having undergone low
temperature treatment in the fourth step in a field with an altitude of 2800 meters; and step 6, carrying out manual weeding. In mid-April, a part of small seedlings of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis grow leaves; and in mid-June, more than 85% of the small seedlings of Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis grow leaves. With the method of the invention, the
germination rate and the
seedling rate of the Paris polyphylla var. yunnanensis seeds reach more than 85%.
