105 results about "Stigmasterol" patented technology

Stigmasterol – a plant sterol (phytosterol) – is among the most abundant of plant sterols, having a major function to maintain the structure and physiology of cell membranes. In the European Union, it is a food additive listed with E number E499, and may be used in food manufacturing to increase the phytosterol content, potentially lowering the levels of LDL cholesterol.

Method for segmented purification of beta-sitosterol and stigmasterol by using n-amyl alcohol

A method for segmented purification of beta-sitosterol and stigmasterol by using n-amyl alcohol comprises the following steps: (1) mixing and dissolving blended phytosterol and n-amyl alcohol at the temperature of 60-70 DEG C, then adding beta-sitosterol to prepare a beta-sitosterol saturated solution at the temperature, thermally filtering, cooling a filter liquor, stirring at a constant temperature, preserving heat and filtering to obtain a crude product of beta-sitosterol; (2) continuing to cooling the filter liquor, stirring at the constant temperature, preserving heat and filtering to obtain a crude product of blended sterol; (3) heating and dissolving the crude product of blended sterol by using the n-amyl alcohol to prepare a stigmasterol saturated solution, cooling, stirring at the constant temperature, preserving heat and filtering to obtain a crude product of stigmasterol; (4) heating and concentrating the filter liquors in the step (2) and the step (3), cooling, stirring at the constant temperature, preserving heat and filtering to obtain the crude product of beta-sitosterol; (5) refining the crude product of stigmasterol by using the n-amyl alcohol; (6) refining the crude product of beta-sitosterol by using the n-amyl alcohol. The method provided by the invention is simple in steps, a single solvent is easy to recover and does not cause pollution, and the product purity and the yield are high.

Foliar fertilizer for inducing melon vegetable powdery mildew resistance and preparation method thereof

The invention relates to foliar fertilizer for inducing melon vegetable powdery mildew resistance and a preparation method thereof. The fertilizer is prepared from the following raw materials: salicylic acid, methyl jasmonate, chitooligo saccharide, stigmasterol, earthworm hydrolysate, a new high fat film, betaine, a wetting agent, a dispersant and water. The preparation method comprises the following steps of preparing the earthworm hydrolysate; adding water into a reaction kettle, heating to 40 to 50 DEG C, adding the salicylic acid and the wetting agent, and stirring to react to obtain a solution A; after the solution is cooled to 30 to 40 DEG C, adding the stigmasterol, the chitooligo saccharide and the dispersant, stirring to react to obtain a solution B; uniformly mixing the earthworm hydrolysate, the solution A, the solution B and the remaining ingredients, sterilizing, and filling, so as to obtain the foliar fertilizer of the invention. According to the foliar fertilizer of the invention, by inducing the resistance of melon vegetables to powdery mildew, the pollution caused by chemical agents can be remarkably reduced, and food safety can be improved, the foliar fertilizer also can be used as an important complement to the application of disease-resistant varieties, can significantly promote the growth of melon vegetables and improve quality and increase yield, and is an effective way to control powdery mildew.

Process for refining chemicals from pulp and paper mill wastewaters

A process for isolating at least one target compound, such as manool, geranyl linalool, ethyl guaiacol, eugenol, veratraldehyde, squalene, terpin, cholesterol, beta-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, stigmastenol and dehydroabietic acid, from biomass, the process including steps of: obtaining a condensate from a recovery evaporator, a reverse osmosis retentate of a condensate of a pulp and paper mill, or both, the condensate, retentate or both being substantially free of higher molecular weight (approximately >1000 Da) cellulose and / or lignin and / or lignin-derived material; optionally pH adjusting and filtering the condensate to collect insoluble material; extracting the condensate, the collected insoluble material, or both, with solid phase extraction (SPE), liquid-liquid extraction or solid-liquid extraction to produce an extract containing the at least one target compound; and optionally purifying the extract containing the at least one target compound by thermal fractionation, chromatographic separation, recrystallization ion exchange, chelation, adsorption / desorption, lyophilization and sublimation or combinations thereof. The method is particularly useful for isolating the target compounds from wastewaters produced in a kraft pulp and paper mill, especially from recovery evaporator condensates produced during the treatment of black liquor.
