The invention discloses a multifunctional modified palm wax emulsion as well as a preparation method and an application thereof. The multifunctional modified palm wax emulsion disclosed by the invention has both antibacterial and vapour barrier effects, and is capable of greatly reducing the vapour transmission rate of paper, achieving an antibacterial rate not less then 99% and remarkably increasing the wet-and-dry strength of the paper in case of being applied as a paper treatment preparation; meanwhile, the preparation process is simple and mature, low in production cost, easy to control, and high in application value.
