The invention discloses an antistatic color gel coat and a preparation method thereof. The antistatic color gel coat is prepared from the following components in parts by weight: 100 parts of matrix resin, 8 to 20 parts of styrene, 10 to 30 parts of functional filler, 2 to 3 parts of a thixotropic agent, 0.12 to 0.2 part of a thixotropic stabilizer, 1 to 10 parts of an antistatic agent, 0.4 to 1 part of a surface auxiliary agent, 10 to 20 parts of color paste, and 0.1 to 0.4 part of an accelerant. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: putting the matrix resin into a dispersing kettle at first, adding the functional filler under stirring, then dispersing, adding the thixotropic stabilizer, adding the thixotropic agent under stirring, and dispersing again to obtain a matrix gel coat; and adding the color paste, the styrene, the antistatic agent, the surface auxiliary agent and the accelerant into the matrix gel coat, and uniformly stirring to obtain a finished product of the antistatic color gel coat. The antistatic color gel coat is controllable in gelatination and curing time, stable in surface resistance and rich in color.
