The invention provides a device and a method for monitoring the tension of a steel
wire rope of FBG compression type mine hoisting equipment. The device comprises the steel
wire rope, anti-slip wedged rubber rings and a packaging casing, wherein the wedged rubber rings are buckled, clamped and nested on the steel
wire rope; an
elastic compression column and a U-shaped fixing support fixedly connected with the
elastic compression column are arranged inside the packaging casing; the U-shaped fixing support is used for fixing a fixed
pulley; FBGs are pasted to the upper end surface and the lower end surface of the
elastic compression column; the FBGs are connected onto optical fibers in series; each
optical fiber penetrates through an
optical fiber lead-out hole to be connected with one end of each
optical fiber connector outside the packaging casing; the insides of the optical
fiber lead-out holes are sealed with
sealant; the other ends of the optical
fiber connectors are connected with optical
fiber pigtails; the optical fiber pigtails are protected by using armed protection rubber; and the top and the bottom of the packaging casing are fastened by clamp
nuts and bolts penetrating through bolt holes. The device is simple in structure and convenient to
mount, operate and use, the tension can be monitored on the side and on line, an FBG sensing technology is used, the reliability and the measurement accuracy are high, and the error is smaller.
