The invention provides a preparation method of a solid wood fiber/SiO2 aerogel composite thermal insulation material. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 1, immersing balsa wood in amixed solution of NaOH and NaSO3, boiling the liquid, moving out the balsa wood, washing the balsa wood with distilled water, adding H2O2, boiling the liquid, moving out the balsa wood, washing the balsa wood with distilled water to obtain a wood fiber substrate; 2, by means of tetraethoxysilane and methyltrimethoxysilane as a mixed silicon source and absolute ethyl alcohol as a solvent, uniformly mixing the components with water and the wood fiber substrate, adding hydrochloric acid until the pH value is 2-3, fully hydrolyzing the fiber substrate, adding ammonia water until the pH value is 8-9, performing standing treatment to form gel, and performing aging, surface modification, solvent exchange and normal pressure drying on the gel to obtain the solid wood fiber/SiO2 aerogel compositethermal insulation material. According to the method provided by the invention, the excellent properties of the balsa wood and the SiO2 aerogel are combined, so that the integrity of the SiO2 aerogelis improved, the problems that the fir absorbs water easily and the utilization rate is low are solved, and meanwhile, the heat preservation property of the balsa wood is improved. The preparation equipment is simple, convenient and low in cost, and has a good development prospect and further in-depth development and research value.
