The invention provides a regenerated polyethylene composition and a preparation method thereof. The regenerated polyethylene composition is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 50 to 60 parts of PE bottle cap material, 5 to 10 parts of PE hollow material, 15 to 30 parts of mica, 10 to 20 parts of talcum powder, 2 to 5 parts of compatibilizer, 5 to 10 parts of polyethylene paraffin, and 4 to 12 parts of plasticizer. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) weighing a PE bottle cap material, a PE hollow material, mica, talcum powder, a compatibilizer, polyethylene paraffin, and a plasticizer according to the formula mentioned above, adding the raw materials in to a high speed mixing machine, and stirring and mixing the raw materials for 8 to 16 minutes at a temperature of 100 to 120 DEG C under a rotation speed of 1500 to 2500 r / min to obtain an evenly mixed material; and (2) adding the evenly mixed material into a double screw extruder, melting the evenly mixed material at a temperature of 210 to 230 DEG C, and carrying out plasticizing, extruding, and granulating to obtain the regenerated polyethylene composition. The provided regenerated polyethylene composition has good elongation at break and an excellent processing performance.
