The diosgenin glucoside rhamnosyltransferase provides necessary gene resources for synthesis of the prosapogenin A, lays a foundation for efficient synthesis of the prosapogenin A in heterologous organisms, is also beneficial to heterologous biosynthesis of dioscin and other related steroid saponins, and has a wide application prospect.
