The invention provides an aqueous pharmaceutical composition for administration as an aerosol to the respiratory tract, nose or oropharyngeal region comprising (i) a macrolide having a poor taste and poor chemical stability in aqueous solution; (ii) at least one salt selected from the group consisting of sodium gluconate, sodium aspartate, sodium acetate, sodium lactate, sodium succinate, sodium maleate, magnesium gluconate, magnesium aspartate, magnesium citrate, magnesium acetate, magnesium lactate, magnesium succinate, and magnesium maleate; or mixtures thereof and (iii) a taste-masking agent different from said salt; wherein (a) the concentration of said macrolide in the composition is in the range of about 0.25 wt.-% to about 15 wt.-%; (b) the molar ratio of said macrolide:said salt is in the range from about 1:0.5 to about 1:100; (c) the pH of the composition is in the range of about 3 to 9; and (d) the osmolality of the composition is in the range of about 150 mOsmol/kg to about 1500 mOsmol/kg. The invention further provides a method of generating an aerosol, preferably by means of a nebuliser, which uses such an aqueous pharmaceutical composition. The macrolide may be used alone or in combination with other drugs. The composition is suitable to treat inflammatory disorders and/or infections of the respiratory tract. It has an improved taste and stability.

The method has the beneficial effects that calcium sulfate waste residues are not produced; the method can be directly linked with the neutralizing step and achieve material closed recycling.

Method for industrially preparing silane

The invention discloses a method for industrially preparing silane. The silane is prepared by reaction between citric acid and magnesium silicide serving as raw materials. The method comprises the following steps: continuously adding citric acid and magnesium silicide at a molar ratio of 4:3 into a reaction kettle while isolating air in an aqueous phase condition; mixing and reacting at normal temperature; continuously collecting the generated coarse silane gas at a condenser outlet at the top of the reaction kettle; processing with a conventional technology to obtain refined silane; compressing the silane with a metal membrane compressor; and liquefying and bottling to obtain the finished product of silane, wherein the purity of the finished product of silane is over 5N (99.99%). The invention has the advantages that no pollutant or waste needs to be disposed in the whole production process, and high-purity magnesium citrate can be obtained while the silane is produced. Through the method in the invention, 9 tons of anhydrous magnesium citrate can be produced during the production of 1 ton of silane, namely that the cost of raw materials is not increased for producing magnesium citrate. Moreover, the preparation of silane and magnesium citrate from citric acid and magnesium silicide is neither reported domestically nor applied to industrial production.
