This invention provides a method for preparing an esterified defoamer, belonging to the field of organic synthesis technology. The method includes the following steps: C1618 alcohol, oleyl alcohol, maleic anhydride, and a bimetallic cyanide complex are added to a reaction vessel, purged with nitrogen, and heated to 135-150°C. A mixture of propylene oxide and ethylene oxide is first introduced to induce a reaction; after successful induction, the mixture is continuously introduced. After the reaction is complete, nitrogen is pressurized to a pressure of 0.3-0.5 MPa inside the vessel, and the reaction is carried out at 80-130°C for 5-7 hours.
