The invention relates to an environment-friendly 
deodorant and a preparation method thereof. The method comprises the following steps: firstly adding beta-
cyclodextrin into a 
water body, then adjusting the pH value of the 
water body by using alkali liquor, and then adding a cationic etherifying agent and stirring, and adding 
hydrochloric acid to adjust pH, and then performing 
vacuum drying; dissolving the dried product with N, N-
dimethylformamide, filtering, precipitating the filtrate with 
acetone, and carrying out 
vacuum drying on the obtained precipitate to obtain a modified beta-
cyclodextrin; subjecting 
plant fibers to defibering to prepare a 
fiber suspension, and circularly 
grinding the 
fiber suspension in a 
colloid grinder; homogenizing by using a high-pressure 
homogenizer to obtain nano microfibrils; adding the nano microfibrils into water, then adding the modified beta-
cyclodextrin and water-soluble 
chitosan, stirring, and finally carrying out ultrasonic treatment by using an ultrasonic cleaner to obtain the environment-friendly 
deodorant. The raw materials used by the environment-friendly 
deodorant are natural 
high polymer materials. The raw materials have the characteristics of simplicity, easiness in obtaining, reproducibility and the like, also have the characteristic of biodegradability, and are environment-friendly.
