magnesium-
lithium alloy and a preparation method thereof. The
magnesium-
lithium alloy is prepared from the following components in percentage by
mass: 5.2 to 7.5 percent of Li, 2.5 to 4.5 percent of Al, 0.6 to 2.5 percent of Zn, 0.3 to 1.0 percent of Ce, 0.3 to 0.8 percent of Mn, 0.3 to 0.8 percent of Ca and the balance of Mg. According to the invention, an alloying design concept of a double-phase structure is adopted, and a multidirectional
forging, hot rolling and cold rolling composite forming process is developed, so that synergistic refinement of grains of the double-phase structure is realized, twin crystals are introduced, a multi-scale interface of the twin crystals and an alloy beta-Li / alpha-Mg phase is constructed, and more hindrance is provided for energy dissipation in the material; and the
mechanical property and the damping property of the magnesium-lithium alloy are synergistically improved. The damping
loss factor of the magnesium-lithium alloy is higher than 0.01 at the temperature of-60 DEG C to 210 DEG C, reaches the
peak value of about 0.1 at the temperature of 200 DEG C, and belongs to the high-damping magnesium-lithium alloy. The magnesium-lithium alloy disclosed by the invention has a wide application prospect in the fields of
aerospace, airborne
electronic equipment, mobile communication devices and the like.
